About Maximilian
Hi, my name is Maximilian Itsikson, and Welcome to my Website!
I was born and raised in San Francisco, where the artistic environment of the city allowed my passion for theater to grow from a young age. I started taking an interest in acting at seven when I attended several kids on camera acting courses. What drew me to acting then is what still draws me to it now; how do you make other people believe you are this other person?
I continued to take these courses every year until I was too old to attend. I took every opportunity I could to take more of these types of classes, until it led me to applying to Ruth Asawa School of the Arts. After graduating in 2018, I moved across the country to New York City for college. In 2022, I graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a BFA in Acting and a Minor in Psychology.
Recently, I had the pleasure of being cast in the Marymount Manhattan production of Our Lady of 121st Street, in which I played Father Lux, a disgruntled, 70 year-old priest who lost his legs in the Korean War. This role was invaluable in helping me make many new discoveries; it also helped me get one step closer to answering the question I mentioned previously. I was also recently cast in two student films, Prêt-à-Poppy (2022) and Steak Knives (2022), one of which won awards at the Marymount Manhattan Fifth Floor Film Fest.
Besides acting, I love writing short stories, organizing my DVD collection, critiquing movies on Letterboxd, and consuming book after book. I plan on reading fifty books by the end of the year. Thank you for taking the time to explore my website and I look forward to working with you soon!
